Location

The former "Bahnersiedlung" Elstal is only 8 km from the western gates of Berlin and is thus also part of the Berliner C tariff-zone. Connection to the center of Berlin, by way of regional and express train, is rather ideal from and to this location. The Berlin Central Station can be reached from Elstal within approximately 24 minutes. Elstal is also connected via the A10 motorway, the federal highway 5 and the federal waterway (Havekana)l trimodal to the countryside of Berlin.
The local bus network within the village is well developed and operates accordingly to its set timetable. Furthermore, Elstal is also known worldwide for the 1936 Olympic Village, which at present is still being revitalized.

The Olympic Village attracts today, thousands of tourists from all over the world on an annual basis. The Karls-Adventure-Village located nearby is also expanding into Karls-Adventure-Land in 2019 – the family business, employing approximately 600 employees, is revitalizing a 71 hectare property in Elstal and investing around 100 million euros in retail facilities, tourist attractions and up to 2,000 accomodation-beds. With this great change, hundreds of new jobs are to be expected. The Freight Traffic Center (GVZ) in Berlin, West of Wustermark, has akready created more than 3.000 job offers in 33 companies. By 2026, another 1,200 jobs are ought to be created and available.

On the approximately 34 hectare plot area of the former marshalling Wustermark yard, the railway technology Campus Havelland is expected to be built by the end of 2019. Planned is also the establishment of railway-related companies, the development of a science campus and a training-center for peoples working in technical rail occupations. It is expected that, in the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet, located directly on the B5, an additional 1.000 peoples will be able to find a job.

Furthermore, the Havelport - an inland port in Elstal - connects Berlin with the major seaports (eg Hamburg & Bremen). In 2016, the port handled a whopping 85,000 tonnes from a total of 178 ships. Overall, Elstal is already rightly described as a "boomtown" in the media and is therefore a very good investment opportunity for investors worldwide.
