The street named after the Doctor, social hygienist, and director of the Institute for Social Hygiene in Berlin-Lichtenberg, is located on "Berlin Campus" - a historic development of the former Rummelsburg detention center built in 1870s. The building was once left abandoned for almost 20 years before its conversion in the year 2007.

Rummelsburg, in the southeast of Berlin, lies just one stop behind the Ostkreuz station. The apartment is only a couple of minutes away from the Rummelsburg lake and the fameous spree river.
