The Naturquartier Rügen is being built on 30,000 square metres of land in Göhren, south-east of the Mönchgut peninsula. In close cooperation with selected architects, the project developers focus on ecological and sustainable construction, on reduced and clear architecture and design language, and on communal living on one of the last idyllic, natural plots of land.

The architecture:

The design language and planning of the seven single-family homes in the first construction phase is clear and reduced to the essentials. The open-plan kitchen and the spacious living room with adjoining terrace are located on the ground floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area allow for optimal light conditions. The guest bathroom is located to the left of the entrance area with integrated cloakroom. On the upper floor, three rooms are designed that can be used as a study, children's room or guest room, as well as a spacious bathroom. A garage adjoins the detached house.

The houses:

The houses are built as buildings with no basement, two full storeys and a gable roof in ecological timber frame construction on a floor slab with a base upstand made of reinforced concrete. The building parts are prefabricated, which ensures consistent quality and low dimensional tolerances. A green, planted site enclosure is provided for each plot.

The show house on plot 18 has already been completed and can be viewed.
There are currently 6 houses for sale.

From the beginning of 2022, further building plots can be developed and more houses can be offered. There are a total of four construction phases, which are expected to be completed in 2024.

The construction method:

The ecological and sustainable construction method is based on a timber frame construction with wood fibre insulation, the facades will receive a timber facade cladding from the company Superwood, consisting of impregnated timber from Denmark with a rear-ventilated substructure. All windows that open to the outside consist of wooden and aluminium window elements in accordance with the provisions of the EnEV concept. The roof construction made of sawn softwood receives a covering of clay roof tiles, the roof plumbing is made of titanium zinc. The alternative heating system using ground-source heat pumps is used for heating, hot water production and cooling. The result is KfW efficiency houses standard 55.

Plot sizes and prices:

The plot sizes result from the preliminary division of the total plot. The exact size will only be determined after surveying; minor deviations are therefore possible.
