Would you like to get to know a small Berlin suburb between the S-Bahn, Altlandsberger Stadtforst, Bötzsee, flowering meadows, fields and the Fredersdorfer Fließ?
The village of Bruchmühle was first mentioned in a document in 1428 with the Brockmühle, which was built at that time, and a few clay buildings. In 1909 Bruchmühle then became an independent municipality. Today it has about 1450 inhabitants and covers an area of about 248 hectares.
Together with the district of Radebrück, Bruchmühle forms the second largest district of the town of Altlandsberg. The landscape, on which southern edge Bruchmühle borders, is called Barnimer Feldmark. Between the larger forest areas of the Barnim runs the Gamengrund, from north to south, with Fänger- and Bötzsee as starting point for excursions.
Bruchmühle gets its special charm from its immediate location at the Altlandsberger Forst and at the transition to the Posent meadows to Petershagen and Fredersdorf. The place is very green mostly from the still numerous standing street trees with their developed character.
Walks or bicycle tours along the Posent meadows as well as to the nearby lakes are offered as local recreation.
