Berlin-Charlottenburg

The districts of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf lie in the middle of the metropolitan hustle and bustle. Whereas the quiet and green Westend, which belongs to Charlottenburg, is a quiet and green area with stately villas, distinguished residential buildings and elegant green spaces, named after the distinguished London district of West End. The immediate proximity to the recreation and nature reserve Forst Grunewald and the district of the same name, known as the most expensive residential area in Berlin, make the outskirts of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf particularly popular as a residential location.

Vibrant streets, such as Kurfürstendamm, and popular squares form the core of the district and attract the attention of international clients.

Today, the area around Savignyplatz is both a magnet for tourists and a meeting place for diplomats, scientists and artists. Whether shopping or lingering, a cosy glass of wine or a quick espresso, a snack or a gourmet meal - the variety of bars and restaurants has something for every taste. The exclusive side streets around various well-known squares offer relaxed living in stately old buildings, although countless bars, restaurants and a colourful mix of shops are in the immediate vicinity.

Optimal medical care is provided by a variety of doctors in private practice as well as by the renowned Westend Hospital. With the Radio Tower, the Olympic Stadium, the Waldbühne and the exhibition grounds with the International Congress Centre ICC and the City Cube, prominent buildings of the capital are located in this district. Kurfürstendamm is a popular and well-known address for many companies in the fields of business, law, media and communications.

Some of Berlin's best schools are located here, as well as a wide range of day-care centres.

Zoo station is a transport hub for the BVG public transport system and countless underground and bus lines create a dense public network. By car, it only takes a few minutes to reach the city motorway and thus all areas of the city, or via the Avus to Potsdam and further into Berlin's attractive surrounding countryside.
