Innovative forms of living and accommodation are currently enjoying increasing popularity.
Realise your dream of living on the water.
The 160 m² houseboat Ohana combines modern architecture with an innovative and ecological lifestyle.
The interior of the houseboat has been elaborately planned by the owner and architects and implemented by carpenters and joiners. The spacious living area with open fireplace includes the kitchen, the dining area and the cosy living room, all rooms offer a phenomenal view. Central to the living area is the open fireplace, which radiates heat to the storage wall behind it. State-of-the-art equipment is integrated in the custom-made kitchen made of natural wood. The comfortable height of the work areas allows for relaxed cooking adjacent to the convenient counter. A long hallway between floor-to-ceiling windows and clay-plastered walls leads past the guest bathroom with skylight to the spacious bedroom with direct access to the terrace. Built-in cupboards made by a carpenter and the bed made of 500-year-old oak beams illustrate the craftsmanship of various wood manufacturers. A staircase leads from the terrace with side storage rooms to the roof terrace, which is particularly suitable for events with up to 20 guests. The solar panels are installed on the front part of the roof terrace and generate an output of 10.5 kWp.
Between the living area and the bedroom is the large bathroom with floor-level shower and sauna. The sliding window elements allow direct access from the sauna via a ladder into the water. A further bedroom adjoins the spa area.
Natural wood floorboards run the length of the entire living and working areas.
The floor-to-ceiling window fronts with sun blinds and insect screens can be flexibly moved and are controlled via a smart home system. A water-guided underfloor heating system, which is fed by the solar panels, ensures pleasant warmth in the rooms even in cooler seasons.
The houseboat is self-sufficient and has a 2000 litre fresh water tank. The water is purified in 4 ways by a filter system and transferred to the storage tank. Clay plaster walls store the humidity and serve as insulation at the same time.
The terrace adjoining the living area has a comfortable barbecue. The boat's own roof terrace provides wonderful views of the water and the surroundings.
